Our tour stopped there for lunch on our way to Budapest. The bus stopped on a hill by a Hotel and let us off. We were told to leave our passports on the bus; that the driver would stay with the bus. We had to walk down the hill into town for lunch, rest room, or shopping. I say OR because you can't do all three in an hour; it is the rest room and lunch or the rest room and shopping.

Well, I stood at the top of the hill and said to myself, "I am not going down there." I just didn't want to go. As I was standing there surveying the place the bus had left and everyone else was already down into town. I decided to go because I didn't want to be alone. I met up with Peggie; she got some Slovakian money and we started looking for a restaurant.

We saw a sign that said "restaurant upstair". Now, I am not good going up and down stairs and it seemed there was no end. This is where it seemed that we were in a "time warp". It was a large room with long rows of table and chairs. EVERYONE was dressed in black. We saw a restroom sign and proceeded to go there; we were not staying to eat. We could not wait to get out of there. Can't quite figure it out, yet. But, we definitely lost our appetite and decided to spend the rest of our hour shopping. Sarah
